New clients and business expansion mean that Market Engineering and Newspress Creative, the PR and creative content division of Newspress, is looking for an Account Manager.
Working from the agency’s new office on the Bicester Heritage campus in Oxfordshire, you’ll be part of an exciting business with ambitious plans. With the recent acquisition of technical automotive PR Market Engineering, the successful candidate will be expected to work on a variety of accounts where an automotive and technical knowledge will need to be called upon.
From writing press releases to creating launch strategies for new cars, as well as getting involved in video and digital content briefs and delivery, not to mention writing day-to-day news, blogs and social media copy for a range of brands and businesses, it’s a dynamic environment for the right candidate.
Working with a client roster that focuses on everything from OEMs to driverless car technologies and logistics tools, as well as tier one suppliers and charities, you’ll join a close-knit team on existing accounts and support in the identifying and targeting of new opportunities.
Motivated and conscientious about what you do, you’ll have a passion for all things automotive, an excellent knowledge of the industry as well as a firm grasp of the PR sector and related services.
Not afraid to get your hands dirty, you’ll be a key member of a team that includes ex-journalists, editors and OEM PRs. Confident and good at building rapport, you’ll also need to work on new business pitches and tender submissions, with both creative flair and attention to detail. Salary is competitive and based on experience.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- 4-5 years’+ experience in automotive PR and related business development
- Experience in automotive PR sector essential
- Knowledge of automotive and emerging technologies
- Experience in presenting to senior management level prospects
- Experience in formal tender process submission desirable but not essential.
